John Horner was a Director of the Restructuring Practice in a large accounting firm.  He has been involved in restructuring, turnarounds, mergers and acquisitions, financial and operational management since the early 1990's.  He has held CFO and additional roles in multiple companies, in multiple industries including manufacturing, construction and oil filed services (moving wells, water acquisition and disposal and fabrication for offshore applications) in restructuring/turnaround scenarios.  He has numerous years of experience with small to medium sized organizations as well as Fortune 500 global companies in the area of GAAP reporting, financial consolidation, cash management and various other financial and operational skills.


Prior to joining the large accounting firm, Mr. Horner worked for BlackBriar Advisors, a restructuring/turnaround consulting firm.  The firm's primary area of expertise included restructuring/turnarounds, crisis stabilization, cost reduction/downsizing, negotiating with creditors/lenders, system evaluation/implementation and management assessments/corrective actions.  Prior to that he was the CFO for two separate companies in addition to various Controller roles.


He holds a BA in accounting from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and is a Certified Public Accountant.
